What Players Learn in Our Intermediate Tennis Training

Sessions build on fundamentals and move toward real match situations:

  • Consistency: longer rallies with control from the baseline
  • Technique: grips, footwork and stroke mechanics for forehand, backhand, serve and return
  • Court awareness: positioning, direction and choosing the right shot

  • Mindset: focus, effort and sportsmanship, win or lose

Players leave each session with something specific to practice, so progress carries over from week to week.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you decide when a player is ready to move up to Rising Stars?

Our coaches watch each player's consistency, technique and comfort in match play. When a player is ready to start competing, we'll recommend Rising Stars and talk it through with you first. There's no fixed timeline, because every player develops at their own pace.

How many days a week should my child train?

Most Green Machine players attend the scheduled weekly sessions at their location. If your child wants to improve faster, ask us about adding sessions.

My child is 10 but new to tennis. Should they start in Green Machine or Red Raiders?

It depends on experience, not just age. A complete beginner usually does best starting in Red Raiders, while a 10-year-old with some experience may fit Green Machine. Book a free consultation, and we'll place them.

What does my child need to bring?

A tennis racquet, water, and comfortable athletic clothes and shoes. If you're unsure about racquet size, ask us before buying.

How can my child improve their tennis game faster?

Consistent attendance, practicing what they learned between sessions, and playing with friends or family. Our coaches will give your child one or two things to work on each week.
