What Competitive Training Looks Lik

Sessions are structured to build match-ready players:

  • Point play and match situations: practicing real scoring, serve and return patterns, and playing out points
  • Tactics: shot selection, court positioning and building points instead of just hitting balls
  • Technique under pressure: keeping strokes steady when the score matters
  • Fitness and movement: footwork, balance and court coverage
  • Mindset: focus, resilience and sportsmanship, win or lose

Tournament Readiness and UTR

Rising Stars players learn how junior competition works, including how UTR fits in. UTR (Universal Tennis Rating) is a rating from 1 to 16.5 based on actual match results, so it reflects how a player performs against others. Our coaches help players understand their rating, choose suitable events, and prepare for what tournament days involve.

What is a UTR rating and how does it work?

UTR is the Universal Tennis Rating, a number from 1 to 16.5 based on match results. It updates as a player plays, so it tracks real progress over time. Players in Rising Stars typically sit around UTR 1-3, and our coaches can explain where your child stands.

Does my child have to play tournaments?

No. Tournaments are an option, not a requirement. Our coaches help families decide when their child is ready and which events suit them.

How is Rising Stars different from Green Machine?
